SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — With Pioneer Day festivities coming to Salt Lake City, your regular commute might be impacted. Here’s what to know about road closures for the celebration.
If you’re driving in Salt Lake City, expect road closures and traffic delays between 5 a.m. and the early afternoon as the marathon and parade take over the city streets.
The purple path on the map below shows where the marathon will travel across Salt Lake City. It begins at the Mountain Dell Golf Course at 5:30 a.m. before heading down Emigration Canyon and onto Sunnyside Avenue.
The marathon continues through the Bonneville Golf Course and turns back north on Foothill Drive until it becomes 500 South, then heads along 1300 East north to South Temple, where it turns south onto 700 East and then west onto 100 South. From there, it will follow the parade route…
