Salt Lake City unveils final design for Fleet Block community space

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — Salt Lake City has released their final plans for a community space in the Fleet Block.

Up until 2009, Salt Lake City used the space between 800 and 900 S and 300 and 400 W for municipal vehicle storage. However, after those operations were relocated, the city has been working to transform the nine-acre lot into an area for all residents to enjoy.

The majority of the space will be used for mixed-use developments, including housing and retail space. However, 2.4-acres will be reserved solely for a public open space…
