More buildings around Salt Lake City could be coming down soon to make way for new apartments.
A pair of demolition permits filed late last month would set the stage for an apartment building in Fairpark and another in Ballpark. Combined, the two complexes would add over 200 affordable housing units to the city.
The first demolition permit would take place near 45 N. Chicago St. in Fairpark, just south of the North Temple corridor. In total, the permit says four buildings would be razed, with a total square footage of 5,000. The parcels are either zoned MU-8 or MU-5…
