Mother sues Airbnb, others after murder at alleged party house, citing ignored red flags

SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — An alleged party house in Salt Lake City is at the center of a lawsuit filed by a grieving mother who says Airbnb and others ignored red flags before her 19-year-old son was shot and killed. Her son’s unsolved murder is at the center of this court battle.

Bilquis “Bell” Mullahkhel filed the lawsuit on behalf of her son, Malik Saeed.

The suit names Airbnb, the property owner, host, and the young woman who booked the house and her grandmother. The defendants have filed numerous motions seeking dismissal, arguing they are not liable for third-party criminal actions…
