SANDY, Utah (ABC4) — Sandy City was at the center of Thursday evenings storm, resulting in significant infrastructure damage and major traffic disruptions.

Sandy Mayor Monica Zoltanski reported that heavy rainfall overwhelmed the city’s pipe system, causing significant infrastructure issues. The storm resulted in popped manhole covers, stranded drivers, and flooded basements. Additionally, the deluge broke windows and filled window wells throughout the area.
