SALT LAKE COUNTY, Utah (ABC4) — A severe thunderstorm warning was issued for parts of Salt Lake County, though it was lifted at 4:45 p.m.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS) Salt Lake City, a severe thunderstorm was located over Draper. The thunderstorm was moving north at approximately 30 mph. A warning was issued for much of Salt Lake County, including as far south as Lehi, as far East as Draper, as far west as Alta, and as far north as Sandy.
The thunderstorm was expected to result in up to quarter size hail and officials advised the public to move into an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.
Large hail, damaging winds, and continuous cloud to ground lighting also occurred with the storm and NWS stated, “Move indoors immediately.”…
