WEST JORDAN, Utah (ABC4) — A large plume of smoke was visible in West Jordan off of Mountain View Corridor.
According to officials, firefighters from West Jordan, South Jordan, Unified Fire Authority and Salt Lake City responded to a report of a commercial structure fire in West Jordan near 9583 S. Wells Circle.
According to officials, crews were dispatched at approximately 2:20 p.m. and when crews arrived on scene to find a manufacturing plant with visible smoke and flames coming from the roof of the building.
Due to the conditions of the fire, crews quickly began defensive fire operations, directing water from the exterior of the building. Though crews were able to put the fire out, the cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
One firefighter reportedly sustained an injury when a chemical associated with the fire splashed onto his face. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment. No other injuries have been reported.
