Cabin Crew Restrains Passenger With Zip Ties and Seatbelt After He Goes Berserk on Utah-bound Flight: Feds (Exclusive)

The Dutch passenger allegedly spit on two people, accosted female passengers, and called a flight attendant a ‘b—h’

A Dutch man went into a manic rage on a Utah-bound flight this week, spitting on passengers and grabbing women who passed by his seat, before he was restrained with zip-ties and multiple seat belts, according to court documents.

The man, Darnel Silver Collins, was charged in federal court Monday for assaulting passengers and interfering with crew on the Delta Airlines flight from Amsterdam to Salt Lake City on Sunday, according to a federal criminal complaint.

About an hour after the flight took off, Collins started being loud and disruptive in his seat and began “tapping” other passengers near him, the complaint states.

Collins then allegedly began following a woman around the cabin and “continuously touched” her until she had to push him away and alert the flight crew, according to the charging document.

Another woman on the plane walked out of the bathroom, and Collins grabbed her arm and refused to let go until a member of the flight crew stepped in, the complaint states.
