SALT LAKE CITY ( ABC4 ) — Authorities in northern Utah are asking the public’s help in figuring out who cut lengths of hair off the tails and manes of two horses in Davis County.
The Kaysville Police Department said Thursday that the incident happened sometime in the last month on a property near Windsor Lane.
After record warmth, a soggy storm to kick off February
While neither of the horses were hurt, one of them had roughly two feet of hair cut from its tail, said Officer Alexis Benson, spokesperson for Kaysville police.
According to Benson, the owner of the horses contacted police in case other horse owners in the area also experienced something similar.
However, Benson said the department hasn’t heard of any similar incidents, adding that the county’s animal control service also hadn’t seen anything like it.
Anyone with information on the case is asked to call 801-546-1131.
