On April 16, 2020, Bright and three others reportedly robbed, beat, and tortured a man for more than an hour at the All-Star Motel in Salt Lake City.
Bright and the others took the victim’s money and clothing and duct taped his feet together before they repeatedly hit and kicked him, tasered and burned his skin, and shaved his head, the DA’s office said.
The motel reportedly received several noise complaints about the room during the incident. It was only when staff went up to check on the room that the victim was able to escape, the DA’s office said.
The victim, running naked and with duct tape wrapped around his neck, reportedly made his way to I-15 to get help. A Utah Highway Patrol Trooper found the man on the shoulder of the highway and called medical personnel to provide aid, the DA’s office said.
