On Wednesday, Feb. 7, officers with the U.S. Marshals Violent Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team were looking for a man named Charles Petersen in the West Valley area. The U.S. Marshals VFAST team, who is in charge of tracking down Utah’s most egregious criminals , found Petersen driving to a CVS Pharmacy, an affidavit states. It was not stated why the team was looking for Petersen.
Investigators reportedly watched Petersen exit his vehicle, a Nissan Cube, and go into the CVS. Investigators said they noticed a passenger in the Nissan, later identified as Trotter, get up and sit in the drivers seat.
