FedEx truck crashes into SLC apartment building, leaving one hospitalized

SALT LAKE CITY ( ABC4 ) — A delivery truck crashed into an apartment building Thursday morning after allegedly making an improper U-turn.

Just before 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, the Salt Lake City Police Department said they received reports of a delivery truck that had crashed into a building at 170 North Redwood Road.

The driver of the FedEx truck reportedly made an improper U-turn in front of a pickup truck, causing a crash. The impact caused the FedEx truck to crash into the apartment building, SLCPD said.

The driver of the delivery truck was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. There were no other injuries reported, and the extend of the damage is unknown.

SLCPD reminds drivers to wear a seatbelt, drive alert, and eliminate all distractions.
