3 – 3.5 miles round trip. Despite the rugged nature of the Wasatch Range, this hike is a perfect introduction to hiking in a high mountain environment with the reward of stunning views, a pleasant trail, and an alpine lake to enjoy at the top. Plus, it is a short drive up Big Cottonwood Canyon from downtown Salt Lake City.
