Man reportedly attacked by strangers at West Jordan TRAX station

WEST JORDAN, Utah ( ABC4 ) — One man is in custody after allegedly attacking a stranger at a West Jordan TRAX station on Thursday night, Feb. 8.

According to a booking affidavit, Nasean Lee, 18, was booked into the Salt Lake County Metro Jail. He is facing one third-degree felony charge of aggravated assault and a misdemeanor charge for failure to stop at the command of law enforcement.

Police say Lee and two other men were “clearly captured” on UTA security cameras at a TRAX station located at 1127 West and 7800 South just before 8 p.m. starting a physical fight with the victim. The victim, who has only been identified as another man, had been sitting on a platform bench since before Lee and the others arrived.

“[Lee] and the other two males can clearly be seen surrounding the victim, knocking him down onto the ground and all three males are clearly seen punching and kicking the victim in the head and body area,” police reported in the affidavit.
