South Jordan man sentenced for murder of 19-year-old at local graduation party

SOUTH JORDAN, Utah ( ABC4 ) — A South Jordan man has been sentenced for the 2021 murder of 19-year-old Kelly Glaubensklee at a local graduation party, according to the Salt Lake County District Attorney’s Office.

Anthony Dominic Rendon, 20, was sentenced in the Third District Court Friday to 15 years to life in prison for first-degree felony murder and three to five years for one count of third-degree felony discharge of a firearm, to be served consecutively. Rendon was also sentenced to three to five years for each of the remaining nine counts of third-degree felony discharge of a firearm, all to be served concurrently to the other part of his sentence.

The murder occurred while Rendon attended a graduation party on June 6, 2021 with several friends. During the party, two different groups, including Rendon’s group of friends, got into a fight.

The Salt Lake County District Attorney’s Office said Rendon and three others had left but returned a few minutes later and got into another fight.
