A man riding an electric scooter was hospitalized and later died after a collision with a vehicle Sunday night.
The man was later identified as 41-year-old Ismael Ontivaros.
Salt Lake City Police said the crash happened at 800 W. North Temple.
Ontivaros was initially rushed to the hospital in critical condition but officials later said he died of his injuries.
No further information about the incident was provided. Police said drivers should expect some road closures.
The crash marks Salt Lake City’s fourth traffic-related death of 2024.
