Contain Dequan Finn

The Utes had a tough time trying to stop Thunderbird’s QB Jackson Berry on the ground at the start of the Thursday night game, and while that was limited as both teams got settled in, it’s still cause for some concern. Dequan Finn is electric with his legs, rushing for a touchdown and breaking a long 39-yard run against Tarleton State, but he didn’t do so great through the air. Finn threw for under 200 yards and while he tallied two passing touchdowns, he also was picked off twice.

If the Utah defensive line can keep Finn in the pocket and limit his yardage when he does escape, the secondary should be able to cause turnovers when needed, especially with the return of Cam Calhoun.
