Lehi man arrested for aggravated assault, threatening individuals with a firearm

LEHI, Utah (ABC4) — A Lehi man was arrested last week after he reportedly threatened several people with a weapon while outside of a grocery store near Traverse Mountain Outlets.

Tanner McKay Houston, 31, was arrested on Sept. 17 and now faces the following charges:

  • Five counts of aggravated assault.
  • Three counts of domestic violence in the presence of a child.
  • One count of discharge of a firearm from a vehicle, near a highway or in the direction of specified items.
  • One count of threat of violence (enhanced by domestic violence).
  • One count of public intoxication, possession of a deadly weapon with criminal intent.
  • One count of carrying a dangerous weapon while under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

According to a probable cause statement filed in Utah County, Houston expressed some distressing things to another person, who called dispatch after hearing a gunshot and speaking with Houston.
