A warming trend will continue across northern Utah through Monday, with temperatures rising to near or above normal. However, a quick-moving cold system will bring a chance of accumulating snow to the northern mountains on Tuesday.
The system is expected to bring a cold front through the Wasatch Front between 10 AM and 2 PM, potentially causing a mix of rain and snow in some areas. Snow levels may lower to the benches, and portions of the valley could see snow late Tuesday morning into the afternoon.
The northern mountains, especially the upper Cottonwoods, are expected to receive 4 to 8 inches of snow. Additional snow may accumulate in other areas as the system strengthens, making for a snowy start to the week. Keep an eye on the weather if you’re heading to higher elevations!
