After falling out of favor in the running back room this season, Jaylon Glover has officially committed to the UNLV Rebels as new head coach Dan Mullen’s first acquisition.
Glover spent the last three seasons in Salt Lake City, and in his first two with the program, he tallied 922 rushing yards and six touchdowns, but during the 2024 campaign, he fell out of the rotation as he only played in three games in which he rushed 12 times for 60 yards.
The 5-foot-8, 202-pound back still has two years of eligibility and should be a key part of Mullen’s operation in Las Vegas, especially after being the new head coach’s first signing despite only assuming the role less than a week ago.
While it is sad to see such a talent leave the program, it has worked out for both parties with Glover now in a position to flourish, and Utah landing the commitment of former New Mexico State running back Mike Washington and being the favorite for former Washington State star running back Wayshawn Parker.
