SALT LAKE CITY ( ABC4 ) — Officials with the Utah County Sheriff’s Office executed search warrants in Salt Lake County in recent days, leading to the arrest of several people and the seizure of money and several different drugs.
According to a UCSO press release, the Utah County Major Crimes task force executed several search warrants on two different “fentanyl distribution groups” in Salt Lake County.
Officials seized more than 32,000 fentanyl pills, more than $14,000 in cash, along with cocaine, marijuana and THC vapes, and about one pound of heroin, UCSO said.

Seven individuals were arrested and booked into the Salt Lake County Jail for charges related to the distribution of controlled substances. UCSO said two suspects are Honduras citizens and five suspects are citizens of Mexico.
“These groups were targeted due to the fact that the drugs these groups were distributing were finding their way onto the streets and into the homes of Utah County residents,” the sheriff’s office said.
