It’s been a busy day on the transfer portal front for the University of Utah.
Earlier Wednesday morning, the Utes added the commitment of Tulsa wide receiver Joseph Williams, the American Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year who had 30 passes for 588 yards and five touchdowns over seven games in 2024.
In the afternoon, the Utes snagged UC Davis cornerback Blake Cotton, who had 24 tackles and two pass deflections in 2024.
The Utes finished the day off with their third transfer portal add, receiving a commitment from USC offensive tackle Kalolo Ta’aga on Wednesday evening.
Ta’aga, a 6-foot-7, 315-pound offensive guard, hasn’t seen playing time in college thus far, redshirting the 2024 season in Los Angeles. In high school, he was a three-star prospect and Utah offered him, but he chose to go with Lincoln Riley and the Trojans.
Now, he’s made his way to Salt Lake City.
Utah’s starting tackles for next season, Spencer Fano and Caleb Lomu, are retuning, but Ta’aga is a good depth add for the program.
