TAYLORSVILLE, Utah ( ABC4 ) — On Sunday, Jan. 5, 2025, Angeles de Utah held its fifth annual “Jugueton” — a toy drive to make sure kids in need have at least one present to open during the holidays — in Taylorsville.
“It’s a dream, since I was little,” Ana Villa, co-founder of Angeles de Utah said, reflecting on the days she and her sister celebrated Three Kings Day in Mexico with no new toys.
It’s a memory that inspired Villa to start Angeles de Utah.

“I never had a new toy,” Villa said, “So, now when I see those kids happy to have toys or to get one of the big prizes, it’s amazing. It feels really, really good.”
By 3 p.m., the group had given out 600 toys. The event, however, wasn’t only about the gifts. They also presented resources on mental health, home buying, and the very hot topic of immigration.
Villa explained, “She’s going to talk to our Hispanic community about all the new laws [that] our new president is trying to implement. We’re going to see how it is going to motivate our community to become more legal and to do better things for, for the U.S.”
