SALT LAKE CITY — On World Social Work Day, the Salt Lake City Police Department gave KSL TV News an exclusive look at how its social work team assists and responds to people in the community.
The department’s 16 social workers, who cover shifts from 8 a.m. to midnight daily, are focused on helping people facing mental health crises, substance abuse issues, and homelessness.
