Police searching for suspects after responding to a shooting in West Valley City

WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah ( ABC4 ) — Police are searching for suspects after responding to a call of shots fired late Tuesday evening.

According to the West Valley City Police Department , around 7:12 p.m., police responded to a call of shots fired in the area of Hunter View Drive and Hunter Village Drive. When police arrived on scene, they found many juveniles in the area, with some from the group allegedly fleeing down 3500 South.

Police received conflicting reports about what happened, but according to witness statements, a group of about 10-20 kids were gathered for what was reported to be a fight. A few late teens to early 20-year-olds were reported to have been causing trouble.

During this gathering, an apparent altercation occurred between members of the group. At some point during the altercation, police said shots were fired from a grey vehicle that was on scene, which then fled, causing many at the scene to scatter as well…
