Herriman man arrested on allegations of pepper spraying dog in owner’s fenced backyard

HERRIMAN, Utah (KUTV) — A Herriman resident has been arrested on allegations of unprovokedly pepper spraying a dog while it was confined in its owner’s backyard behind a fence.

Herriman City police said Animal Services officers responded to a report of animal cruelty on Summit Crest Lane at 9 a.m. Tuesday, March 25. The caller reported that an unknown individual had used pepper spray on their dog while it was within the fenced area of their backyard, located along a walking trail that runs adjacent to the property.
