SLT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — A 53-year-old man found hiding in a dumpster on Salt Lake City private property was arrested after reportedly admitting to officers that he had planned to steal copper from the business that he would later sell.
According to the Salt Lake City Police Department, an officer was patrolling the area near 3070 W. California Ave. when they noticed a business that had previously been the subject of several trespassing reports. The owners previously advised officers they would not stand for trespassers on their property.
While passing the business, the officer heard movement coming from the fenced-off yard. The officer investigated and found Steven Kendall Radmall hiding in a dumpster. When questioned, Radmall reportedly claimed he was “just trying to sleep in the dumpster.”…
