Utah’s Active Weather Pattern: Snow and Winds Expected Across the State

SALT LAKE CITY, UT — An active weather pattern will continue to bring significant impacts across Utah this week, according to the National Weather Service office in Salt Lake City. Starting Monday evening, a storm system will bring heavy snow to higher elevations, particularly in the Wasatch and Manti-Skyline mountains, with up to 2 feet of snow possible. Winds will also pick up, reaching 55 mph in southern and central Utah, causing blowing dust, particularly near Sevier Lake. Precipitation will begin in the late afternoon and continue through the evening, with snow levels dropping to 3,000-4,000 feet, bringing snow to valley floors by Tuesday night.
