Jordan River Parkway Trail closed in Salt Lake over public safety, drug concerns

SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — The Salt Lake City Police Department and public lands officials announced a temporary closure of the Jordan River Parkway Trail over public safety and environmental issues.

Officials spoke about the closure at a news conference Tuesday morning at Backman Elementary School, which backs up to the trail.
