SALT LAKE CITY — Homeowners living along the Jordan River said the temporary trail closure has only brought problems closer to their front yards.
The Sylverns are a Rose Park couple who live right at the border of the closed-off section. Salt Lake City Police announced the trail is closed from Cottonwood Park to 700 North.
On Tuesday, city leaders said they’re temporarily closing this section of the trail to clean up the walking path, improve infrastructure like lighting, restore the riverbanks and target illegal activity.
