Second suspect arrested in fatal West Jordan house party shooting of 19-year-old

WEST JORDAN, Utah (KUTV) — A second man has been arrested in connection with a shooting at a West Jordan house party that left a 19-year-old dead.

Vincent Caleb Vasquez, 18, was taken into custody Friday, April 18, while attending a court hearing for the suspected shooter, Tayden Bentley Huntsman, at the Third District Courthouse in Salt Lake City. Vasquez, identified by police as a documented gang member and alleged leader of the 600-block gang, faces charges for allegedly helping Huntsman escape law enforcement and dispose of the murder weapon.

The shooting occurred on March 9, 2025, at 7987 South and 6435 West. Officers responded to reports of gunfire and discovered 19-year-old Hugo Lucero dead at the scene.
