Shots fired on Main Street in Farmington, 2 in custody

FARMINGTON, Utah ( ABC4 ) — Police are investigating an incident on North Main Street in Farmington after they received reports of shots fired late Thursday night.

Around 10:30 p.m. on May 1, police responded to 1415 North Main Street after people reported hearing gunshots. While police were investigating handgun shell casings on the road, a car pulled up to the scene with a male and female inside.

Police said the vehicle occupants were not cooperative with law enforcement. Medical personnel arrived on the scene after the male was determined to have visible injuries that “were consistent with being struck by a vehicle.” He was transported to a hospital in stable condition. The female did not have any visible injuries.

Police said the preliminary investigation indicates that they were traveling through the area and an “altercation took place between the male and female.” The car had damage to the outside that appeared to be from “hitting something,” according to police. Neither the male nor the female had visible injuries from gunshot wounds…
