Salt Lake City, UT – On Monday May 5, KSL NewsRadio is excited to announce the launch of a new show, “Midday with Maria Shilaos.” Hosted by respected journalist and longtime KSL news host Maria Shilaos, the show will air weekdays from 12-3 PM, focusing on news stories of the day with a specific goal of connecting with those who the news affects most.
“As a respected journalist, Maria Shilaos has earned the trust of listeners across Utah. This new show isn’t just about the news—it’s about the people behind it,” said the show’s executive producer Andy Cupp. “We’re excited to connect with listeners and know we’ll add value to their lives as they tune in each day.”
Maria Shilaos has been recognized many times by the Utah Broadcasters Association and the Society of Professional Journalists for both her anchoring and reporting abilities. She has also received several regional Edward R. Murrow Awards, including the 2017 Murrow Award for Best Newscast for her role as host of Utah’s Noon News.
