Strong winds take hang glider off intended route, into Holbrook Canyon

CENTERVILLE, Utah (KUTV) — A missing hang glider was found safe in Holbrook Canyon after strong winds took him off his intended route.

Davis County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue responded to a report of the missing hang glider at approximately 7 p.m. on Thursday.

The man reportedly launched from the “V” site in Centerville six hours previously. He intended to land in Draper, but strong winds took him into the mountains instead.
