SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — The Salt Lake County District Attorney’s office has been disqualified from prosecuting a teenager charged with murder. Third District Juvenile Judge David Johnson lists multiple examples of conduct by Sim Gill’s office including a lack of disclosure and transparency and “the resulting appearance of impropriety.” He says the offices conduct “undermines public confidence in the fairness of these proceedings” and that disqualifying the office “is required to protect the integrity” of the hearings.
