SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — A five-time convicted felon has been sentenced to prison by a federal jury for illegally possessing a firearm and ammunition.
Michael Anthony Rangel, 43, of Ogden, was sentenced to seven years in prison Monday after a jury found him guilty. He was also sentenced to three years of supervised release by the judge.
In July 2022, Rangel was stopped by police for a traffic violation, and officers saw drug paraphernalia in plain view in the vehicle, according to the indictment. Rangel informed police that he had a weapon and that there was an active warrant out for his arrest…
