The Utah Highway Patrol received reports that there was an aircraft losing altitude near the Salt Lake and Tooele County line on I-80 on June 29, 2025, around 9:16 a.m.
The aircraft was preparing to make an emergency landing on I-80 near the Tooele County line due to an unknown mechanical issue the aircraft and pilots experienced shortly after taking off from a nearby airport.
