SANDY, Utah (KUTV) — Hours before the night sky was lit up for the 4th of July, people were still doing some last-minute shopping for fireworks. And the rainy conditions didn’t dampen anyone’s appetite for them at Mad Matt’s Fireworks in Sandy on Friday.
“I always buy from him. He takes care of me,” one customer said about owner Matt Schadle.
But tariffs on imported fireworks have already caused supply challenges for some, leading to concerns about prices and availability this summer.
