Missing Utah aviator’s remains discovered, brought home after his 1944 death in action

SALT LAKE CITY — After Lt. George F. Wilson of Bountiful was killed during a 1944 aviation mission, his body was missing for 80 years. In November 2024, he was finally found. Today, his remains are now home and will be laid to rest in Bountiful, next to his parents.
