Firefighter taken to hospital after two houses catch fire in Draper

DRAPER, Utah (ABC4) — One firefighter was taken to the hospital after two homes caught fire in Draper Saturday morning, according to Draper Fire. Additionally, four individuals were displaced as a result of the incident.

The fire began shortly after 7 a.m. on July 12, according to Battalion Chief Brian Plummer, Draper Fire. Firefighters arrived on scene at 300 East between Stokes Ave. and 13800 South to find flames and heavy smoke coming from the scene.

Firefighters believe the back deck of one of the houses caught fire and the flames moved inside the house — though the cause is still being investigated at this time. Three people inside the home were evacuated as a result…
