SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — Salt Lake County Flood Control cannot cover the storm drain tunnel that a woman used to walk into last week, mainly due to public safety concerns.

On Friday, July 11, A woman called 911 and said she was lost inside a storm drain. She said she had entered near the Jordan River on 1000 West and North Temple, but could not find her way out.

Heavy rescue and swift water teams from the Salt Lake City Fire Department safely rescued her after she had been in the storm drain for nearly an hour. According to the fire department, she was unharmed…
