Large police presence in Bountiful tied to child exploitation investigation

BOUNTIFUL, Utah — A heavy law enforcement presence in a quiet Bountiful neighborhood Tuesday evening drew concern from residents as agents served a warrant tied to a disturbing investigation.

The operation, led by the Utah Attorney General’s Office, with agents from the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, unfolded at a home located at 1130 Hill Top Circle. More than 15 agents were seen at the scene, along with a large evidence collection van.

Authorities on scene said they were executing a warrant related to child sexual abuse material. One man was seen in handcuffs and taken into police custody around 8:20 p.m. Shortly after, at 8:46 p.m., booking records from the Davis County Jail show a 24-year-old man identified as Jonah Hatfield was booked on investigation of 10 counts of aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor…
