Red Cross offers shelter, support to 79 displaced in Millcreek apartment fire

MILLCREEK, Utah (KUTV) — The American Red Cross of Utah is providing emergency care to 79 residents displaced by an apartment fire that tore through the Willow Glen Apartments in Millcreek Friday afternoon.

The fire, believed to have been sparked by anindividual mowing a nearby grassy field, destroyed two apartment buildings and damaged 24 additional units near 1300 East and 4800 South. More than 100 firefighters battled the flames and worked to evacuate residents.
