West Valley City Police Seek Owner of Cremated Remains Found at Local Fire Station

West Valley City has become the center of an unusual discovery this week, as local law enforcement seeks the public’s assistance in solving a somber mystery. According to KSLTV, a brown box with “Stevens, John” inscribed on it was found in front of a fire station on Monday, and it is believed to contain cremated human remains.

The West Valley City Police Department is actively looking for the person or family connected to these remains, which were left outside the fire station located at 5372 West Upper Ridge Road a discovery that has left the community with more questions than answers, leaving residents pondering about the living kin and their motives, and how such a sacred item could be seemingly discarded so carelessly.
