Murray Police looking for driver in hit-and-run that left victim in critical condition

MURRAY, Utah (ABC4) — Murray Police are looking for a driver in a hit-and-run collision with a pedestrian that happened on State Street and left the victim in critical condition.

A car hit a pedestrian on July 31, shortly after 11 p.m., around 4500 S. State Street. The victim was identified as an adult woman, but Murray City Police Department is not providing any further identifying details at this time as the investigation continues.

The pedestrian was crossing the road when she was struck by a dark colored truck that was “traveling eastbound at a high rate of speed,” according to a news release. The truck continued eastbound after the collision.

The truck and the driver who fled the scene have not been located. Police are reviewing surveillance footage from the area to help identify the suspect’s vehicle, and they said that it will most likely have damage on the front end…
