Residents displaced after Taylorsville house fire

TAYLORSVILLE, Utah, Aug. 1, 2025 (Gephardt Daily) — Residents of a home in Taylorsville have been displaced after a fire broke out in their patio area Friday afternoon.

According to a spokesman for Unified Fire Authority, crews were dispatched just before 3 p.m. to the area of 2700 West Hazelnut Drive. Upon arrival, firefighters saw a “significant amount of smoke and fire” coming from the backside of the home.

The flames were consuming the back deck and patio area, spreading to the attic, when firefighters went on a “fast attack,” knocking down the fire before it spread to the rest of the home…
