Lane reductions coming to I-215 and I-15 this weekend – What to expect

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — The Utah Department of Transportation is getting ready to begin overnight construction projects on both I-215 and I-15 in Salt Lake and Davis County starting as early as Friday night, Aug. 8.

The most intensive project will impact I-215. Starting Friday at 11 p.m., the northbound lanes of I-215 between North Temple and State Route 201 will be reduced to just one lane until Saturday, Aug. 9, at 9 a.m.

“These lane closures will allow crews to begin shifting all northbound lanes to the east to accommodate the reconstruction of the freeway,” UDOT said in a statement. “The new traffic shift will be in place by Saturday morning and will create a safe work zone for the installation of a new drainage system.”…
