WEST JORDAN — Two homes were destroyed in a fast-moving fire on Jackling Drive, but thanks to quick-thinking teens who live nearby, two family dogs were saved from the flames.

The fire broke out suddenly, sending thick smoke into the neighborhood. A group of teens living just a few houses down didn’t hesitate to jump into action.

“Without a second thought, we just jumped the fence,” one of the teens said. “We got down there to see if we could help, see what we could do.”…
