Summit County schools briefly placed on lockdown following threats, suspect in custody

SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah (ABC4) — Two Park City schools were briefly placed on lockdown today after a man reportedly made threats against employees at the Sundial Resort.

Shortly after 2 p.m., the Summit County Sheriff’s Office learned that a man was making violent threats against employees at the Sundial Resort. The suspect reportedly fled the scene after members of the public tried to stop him.

According to a news release, the suspect had a motorcycle, and deputies located a motorcycle matching its description at the Blue Roof gas station. Parleys Park Elementary School and the Winter Sports School were placed on lockdown out of an abundance of caution.
