PARK CITY — A 40-year-old man is behind bars after authorities say he broke into the Park City Gun Club on Sunday, opened fire inside the building, and later led officers on a pursuit that ended in a SWAT standoff at Trailside Park’s basketball court.
The suspect, identified as Abraham Hernandez Duron, was booked into the Summit County Jail on 21 felony counts, including aggravated assault against law enforcement, aggravated burglary, theft of a firearm, and 15 counts of felony discharge of a firearm. He also faces a misdemeanor charge for failing to stop at an officer’s command.
According to court filings, Duron allegedly forced his way into the gun club on Forestdale Drive early Sunday morning and began shooting weapons inside the facility.
